LANDOVER, Md. -- Northwest Stadium erupted as the game clock hit double zeros. One sideline flooded the field like children being told they can finally go trick-or-treating.
The other sideline stood in shock, in disbelief of what had just transpired.
With the Commanders down three with two seconds left in the game, rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels dropped back, bought time by moving around in the backfield and finally launched the football.
The pass traveled 64 yards in the air before it approached a scrum of players just in front of the first end zone line. The ball was tipped and landed in the hands of a wide open Noah Brown.
