It doesn't take a big person to admit that there's not a ton to be excited about as the Chicago Blackhawks head toward the end of another disappointing season. With a 17-31-7 record (41 points), the Blackhawks sit in second-to-last place one year removed from the same spot in the standings and two seasons after finishing third-worst.
It's a rebuild, so the exciting part of that process rarely ever coincides with winning at the major professional levels of any sport, especially hockey. But with 27 games to play, if you're paying close attention, there's plenty of reason to care.
