At the end of the 2023-24 season, Chicago Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson said that finishing in third-to-last or second-to-last would no longer be acceptable.
He made moves this summer to add veteran players to help push the Blackhawks forward at the NHL level. However, if you've been watching this team this season, that group of players has been a letdown, with Chicago sitting second-to-last in the NHL through 49 games this season.
