If you're a cap dork like me, today's news had you thinking hard about the Chicago Bulls salary cap future.
The new salary cap and luxury tax figures are here, and they've come in a bit lower than expected.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarkowsi, the cap figures are as follows:
Salary Floor: $127 million
Salary Cap: $141 million
Salary Tax: $172 million
First Apron: $179 million
Second Apron: $190 million
There was potential for the tax to rise as much as 10 percent from the $136 million cap figure from the 2023-24 season, but it rose only 3.6 percent. This means the tax figure is $1 million lower than previously projected, and that has big time ramifications for teams concerned with exce...
