How does a DeMar DeRozan sign-and-trade with the Sacramento Kings work?

Over three days into Free Agency, DeMar DeRozan still doesn't have a home. All signs points towards his departure from the Chicago Bulls, but there aren't a lot of logical options for him at this point.
While DeRozan is the best talent still on the market, he's been squeezed out when it comes to appealing destinations offering him adequate years and dollars.
With LeBron James signing a max deal to return to the Los Angeles Lakers, there isn't enough room for him to sign there. The Miami Heat have been mentioned as suitors, but both teams are above the first apron at this point, and sign-and-trades with such teams become challenging.
