The start of the 2026-27 hockey season is around the corner. Before we skip ahead to opening night on Sept. 29 — or Chicago Blackhawks training camp, for that matter — comes the upcoming prospect showcase.
Replacing the Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase, which included players from the Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues in recent years, is this year’s iteration that will take place between only the Blackhawks and Blues at the Blackhawks Ice Center and USG Arena.
The Blackhawks will take a full 22-player prospect roster into the five-day showcase, culminating in two games between the prospects on Mon. Sept. 14 and Tues. Sept. 15 at USG Arena.
