Hello, hello Chicago Cubs fans. Welcome into another edition of the CHGO Cubs Weekly newsletter.
This week, we have to talk about what Pete Crow-Armstrong is doing at the plate.
We've seen how great he is in center field. At just 22 years old, Crow-Armstrong is proving to be a Gold Glove-caliber defender. He's in the 95th percentile in range with eight outs above average and in the 96th percentile in arm strength according to Statcast. He's also fourth among center fielders (with a minimum of 650 innings in center this season) with 10 Defensive Runs Saved. Just going off the eye test, the defense has been as advertised.
