The Chicago White Sox have a much better-looking map to their future after trading Garrett Crochet to the Red Sox last week in exchange for four prospects, as tough as it might be for fans to be happy about losing an All-Star starter while stuck in the thick of Chris Getz’s rebuilding project.
The return package harkened back to the ones Rick Hahn used to stockpile the farm system with talent at the outset of the last rebuild, and frankly, with the way the game has evolved, it didn’t seem like we’d see those sorts of returns again.
