DALLAS – How does Chris Getz feel about the Chicago White Sox’ long-term future after landing four well-regarded prospects in Wednesday’s Garrett Crochet trade?
“I feel a lot better,” the general manager said before leaving the Winter Meetings.
While White Sox fans can, justifiably, moan and groan that their team is in this position to begin with – rooting for wins is obviously preferable to hoping for impressive prospect hauls when dealing away All Stars – viewed through the lens of the long-term turnaround Getz is trying to pull off, Wednesday’s trade with the Red Sox initially strikes as a winner and something that does improve the chances of long-term success on the South Side.
