As promised, White Sox keep adding to right-field mix with reported Mike Tauchman signing

DALLAS – From the North Side to the South Side.
Mike Tauchman, after two seasons with the Cubs, is joining the Chicago White Sox on a free-agent deal, according to multiple reports, including one from MLB.com’s Scott Merkin.
Tauchman, a Chicagoland native who has “The Palatine Pounder” listed among his nicknames on his Baseball-Reference page, figures to join an ever-growing group of players who will seek playing time in right field with the White Sox in 2025. Tauchman played more right field than any other position in 2024, appearing in 51 games there with the Cubs, who non-tendered him last month.
