What’s up, Sox fans?
Folks might not be too thrilled with Austin Slater joining the Chicago White Sox and even less thrilled about him relaying that he was told he was the team’s “top target” this winter. As nice a presence as Slater might be, that’s not the sort of free-agency headliner any fan is hoping for.
Slater’s aboard, seemingly, as a platoon bat in right field, what with Andrew Benintendi and Luis Robert Jr.’s status as perhaps the only two entrenched players on the team soaking up almost all the playing time in left and center field.
