The Chicago Cubs had a real shock in store on Sunday afternoon.
That's not just because the Cubs made the surprising move to acquire Isaac Paredes, which not many people saw coming. But once the reports came out that Christopher Morel was part of the package heading back to Tampa Bay, jaws may have genuinely dropped. Morel wasn't included in a bunch of trade rumors in recent days, so that was unexpected.
Of course, the decision makes sense now that the dust has settled.
