Welcome back to the CHGO Cubs Weekly newsletter, folks! I hope it was a nice, relaxing Memorial Day weekend for everyone.

The Chicago Cubs have not played well for the last few weeks, but this is a team that still holds playoff aspirations. Those kinds of teams need guys up and down the roster who can fill necessary roles, even if they aren't the most comfortable.

With that said, I want to highlight a couple guys the Cubs have praised for doing just that: Ben Brown and Hayden Wesneski.
