The Chicago Bulls get a win in their preseason opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers 116-112. Here are my notes from the game.
— The Bulls started Zach LaVine, Coby White, Josh Giddey, Patrick Williams, and Nikola Vucevic. Lonzo Ball was ruled out prior to the game, though Billy Donovan told reporters in Cleveland that he does "fully anticipate (Ball) playing at some point in the preseason."
— The starters played primarily during the first half, which the Bulls lost 67-54. The defense is going to be a struggle this season. They allowed the Cavs to shoot 20-of-32 on two-point field goal attempts, giving up layups and dunks like it was an All-Star game.
