There are high expectations in Chicago for linebacker Nicholas Morrow in 2022 despite him not playing in a game since the 2020 season.
Morrow missed last year after injuring his ankle in the preseason that required season-ending surgery.
Since Morrow did not play last season, here are his 2020 stats.

Best Game of 2020*
Morrow had a very productive game in Week 12 of the 2020 season. He made tackles all over the field and finished with nine total. He also was sound in coverage throughout the game.
Biggest Question
How quickly can Nicholas Morrow shake off the rust?
It’s been a long time since Morrow saw regular-season game action. He’s still learning this new defense, but has already taken a leadership role. Morrow has been the linebacker with the headset and calling plays throughout the Bears’ OTAs.
He’s had ample time to recover from his ankle injury. Will Morrow be able to get back into the flow in the offseason? Will it take him into training camp? Will he need a couple of preseason games to get back to game form? Or will any rust linger into the regular season?
What makes Morrow a good player is his burst. It’s that blend of explosiveness and athleticism that allows him to make plays in space. Whether that be in coverage, stopping the run or going after the quarterback off a blitz.
The sooner he’s able to play at top speed the better. Both for Morrow and the Bears.
The second biggest question for Morrow would be which linebacker position is he playing? Will he be the Bears’ Mike or Will?
Although, as long as Morrow and Roquan Smith are on the field together – that may not matter all too much.
2022 Outlook
No matter if it’s at Mike or at Will, Morrow will be a Week 1 starter for the Chicago Bears with decent expectations to uphold.
Prediction: Starting Linebacker (Position TBD)
Stats: 85 Total Tackles, 10 TFL, 7 PBUs, 1 INT, 2 Sacks, 1 Forced Fumble, 2 Fumble Recoveries.
