What's up, Sox fans?
I'm sure no one needs a reminder of the South Siders' miserable 3-18 start. The numbers are tragic: A major league low 45 runs scored in 21 games, a pitiful average of 2.14 runs per contest. They've been shut out in a third of their games and scored two runs or fewer in two-thirds of them.
Now, some of this isn't entirely unexpected. This level of futility is particularly grotesque, sure, but the Sox were not pegged to be a good offensive team. Chris Getz's offseason additions focused on improving the defense and the clubhouse culture, at times at the expense of improving the offense.
