What's up, Sox fans?

At the outset of spring training, we expected John Brebbia would be the guy on the mound late in a one-run game. We didn't expect him to be throwing a bit of an on-field fit in the middle of a downpour, but baseball is all about the unexpected.

While Garrett Crochet's (mostly successful) leap to the starting rotation remains surprising, perhaps the biggest surprise compared to what we expected is that Michael Kopech, not Brebbia or anyone else, is the team's closer.

Kopech, too, is having success, and the way he's blowing fastballs by opposing hitters is making the team look right when it argued that smaller "bites of the apple" would be beneficial after Kopech...
