The Chicago White Sox jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead versus the Cleveland Guardians Wednesday night, courtesy of Gavin Sheets. Sheets started the scoring with an RBI Double in the 1st inning and later scored while Andrew Benintendi was caught in a rundown. In the 3rd innings, Sheets was at it again with a 3-run HR, his second of the season.
The Guardians clawed back into the game via the long ball from both of the Naylor brothers, Bo and Josh. Steven Kwan added a big fly of his own, and the Guardians knotted the game at 5.
The game went to extras where Sheets continued his torrid night, ripping a go-ahead double for his 5th RBI of the night.
But in the bottom of the 10th, Josh Naylor’ RBI Double tied the game. Bo Naylor once again followed his brother’s lead and pulled the walkoff single into right-center.
