CHGO staff predictions: Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers

The Chicago Bears have lost six straight games to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers and 10 of the last 11.

But the invigorating Week 1 win over the San Francisco 49ers has many of our panelists thinking the Bears have a good shot at upsetting the Packers on Sunday. Especially considering that Rodgers and the Packers offense struggled in their opening loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Will the 10-point underdog Bears flip their usual script and pull this off?

Will DeWitt (1-0) — Bears 17, Packers 14

The Bears are having fun and their confidence is rising while the Packers are frustrated and have serious question marks. Talk about a great time to get this matchup. Bears play a clean game, limit mistakes and squeak out a HUGE victory in Lambeau.

Mark Carman (0-1) — Packers 24, Bears 15

Bears play it close once again as optimism mounts moving into week 3 but the Pack slip out with a win at home.

Greg Braggs, Jr. (1-0) — Bears 24, Packers 17

The Bears at Lambeau on Primetime typically is a recipe for disaster. But I’m drinking the kool-aid and the Bears are catching the Packers at the right time. UPSET CITY!

Adam Hoge (0-1) — Bears 20, Packers 17

Green Bay is in an adjustment period, while the Bears are all-in on HITS. If this game was being played in October, it would probably look different, but I think this Week 2 matchup is perfect timing for Matt Eberflus’ team.

Nicholas Moreano (0-1) — Bears 23, Packers 20

After a disappointing Week 1 for the Packers, the Bears are getting their division rival at the right time. I get that Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 23 touchdowns and zero interceptions in six games against the Bears on Sunday Night Football. But all good things must come to an end at some point, right? Matt Eberflus’ team does just enough, shows off that mental stamina and comes away with a victory at Lambeau Field.

Carmen Vitali (0-1) — Packers 24, Bears 17

The Packers haven’t started 0-2 since 2006, and though I think the Bears are better than they’re getting credit for, there’s just too much history to suggest that Green Bay won’t prevail on home turf. Chicago still needs to answer its offensive-line questions, and the Bears’ middling receivers will likely be handled by one of the best secondaries in the league, led by cornerback Jaire Alexander. Don’t sleep on what this Bears secondary can do against developing Packers receivers though, either.

Corey Wootton (1-0) — Packers 24, Bears 21

Will be a tight one, but ultimately think Rogers will make big plays when they need him. Great litmus test to see where the bears are at.

Kevin Kaduk (0-1) — Packers 24, Bears 17

I desperately want to be proven wrong, but all the baggage of a primetime game at Lambeau Field against Aaron Rodgers weighs heavily on my logic skills.

Jake Flannigan (1-0)  —  Bears 31, Packers 24

Fields continues to find open targets and uses his athleticism to make the Packers pay. Rodgers, Jones and Dillon prove to be a challenge. The Bears D does it again with pressure from both edges and force a fourth-quarter turnover to seal the deal and remain undefeated.
