The Chicago Cubs picked up a huge win, and a SWEEP of the Houston Astros on Thursday. Javier Assad was great again for the Cubbies, going 5.2 and allowing only 1 earned run. The Cubs’ offense struggled early, as they were shutout through 5 innings. However, Pete Crow-Armstrong was able to make an immediate impact in his first big league action of the season. The young outfielder launched his first career MLB home run, a two run shot in the 6th inning that gave the Cubs the lead. Hector Neris shut the door in the 9th inning and the Cubs held on for a big sweep! Join Luke, Cody, and Ryan for the LIVE CHGO Cubs postgame show podcast.
