The Cubs got back in the win column Wednesday night in Atlanta, winning their first extra innings game of the season 6-3 behind a go-ahead double from Willson Contreras and a 2-run homer by Patrick Wisdom late. The Cubs started the game hot at the plate jumping ahead early 3-0 thanks to Seiya Suzuki’s 2-run double, setting up another multi-inning outing for Keegan Thompson, who relieved Mark Leiter Jr. in the third inning. He finally gave up his first earned run of the season, but the Cubs bullpen was elite until the 8th inning when Mychal Givens allowed two runs with two outs. In the end it wasn’t enough as the Cubs went on to win in extra innings. Cody, Luke and Ryan react to one of the most exciting games of the young season so far.
