The Connor Bedard era officially began in Chicago Thursday night, albeit in preseason fashion. Philipp Kurashev got the Hawks on the board first with a goal in the 2nd period. But, in what added to the drama of the game, 3 periods weren’t enough as a Blues goal in the 3rd period forced overtime. Andreas Athanasiou netted the game-winner in the extra period to start the Bedard era on the right foot.
