The Chicago Blackhawks fought throughout but lost versus the New Jersey Devils Friday night. Adding injury to insult, Connor Bedard left the game in the 1st period after being hit near the jaw and never returned. In his absence, the Hawks showed plenty of fight, literally and figuratively. The 2nd period alone saw 14 penalties between the 2 teams. Jason Dickinson got Chicago on the board in the 1st for a 1-0 lead. After the Devils tied it, Boris Katchouk scored a shorthanded goal in the 2nd between 3 defenders to put the Hawks back in front. Unfortunately, the Devils would score the final 3 goals to leave the Hawks winless on the 5-game road trip.
Join Jay Zawaski, Greg Boysen, and Mario Tirabassi as they talk about Bedard’s injury and recap the hard-fought loss on the CHGO Blackhawks Live Postgame Podcast.
