The Chicago Bears find themselves in a unique place. Right now, Caleb Williams and the Bears (1-0) are 6.5-point dogs against C.J. Stroud and the Texans (1-0). People might debate the spread, but it's tough to deny that Houston should be favored this Sunday night.
Although a win against the Texans on the road would be a gigantic confidence booster for the Bears and an indicator that this team is ready to compete for a playoff berth, it's not necessary for the Bears to still come out as "winners."
