Tuesday, Blackhawks interim head coach Anders Sörensen announced that forward Jason Dickinson will miss the remainder of the regular season.
The centerman left Saturday’s 4-1 loss in St. Louis after dropping the gloves with the Blues’ Jake Neighbours after the forward injured defenseman Alec Martinez with an ugly hit behind the Hawks’ net.
“It’s a loss,” Sörensen said, “But it’s an opportunity for other players to step up.”
Dickinson finishes his 2024-25 campaign with seven goals and 16 assists in 59 games…a disappointing follow-up to his breakout 2023-24 season, during which he recorded 22 goals and 35 points.
Sörensen also updated the injuries to Martinez and forward Colton Dach. Martinez is considered day-to-day, while Dach will miss “some time.” Both are expected to return to the lineup before season’s end.
