Agree on all of this, Mario! This would be the ideal offseason for me.
I honestly think Korchinski will be moved in a deal (along with other pieces) to acquire a top 6 forward.
Another interesting player that has been rumoured to be dangled in a trade is Connor McMichael. Not a super sexy name, but scored 26 goals a couple years ago and filled the net a lot in juniors with the London Knights. Could be a guy like this that’s not Robertson, Tkachuk, Thomas, Knies that could be a nice surprise Blackhawks fans (and may not cost as much to acquire).
Keep up the great work over there!

I agree with everything except Reilly. He has been trending downward and I think we can find a better alternative. A 4/5 D-first player would work. If Vlasic takes a step next year, he can work himself into the #4 slot. I feel like Kaiser takes another step and locks down a spot in the top 4.
Lev is the key to all this.

Late to the party… great article. I watch the show routinely (not always live.) New diehard as well – thanks for the T-Shirt. I would love for all of these goals to be accomplished this summer. I would also like to hear a trade made that doesn’t gut the Blackhawks prospect pool. It will be a bonus if they can avoid an overpay for the sake of saying a trade was made. Even if it is a name I am not familiar with, I trust they know what is needed. Watching these playoffs, physicality (a bit of a mean side) is definitely a need. It is unfortunate all of these talented players are hitting the NHL at a similar time when it can’t be accurately determined which ones are going to hit their ceiling. With barely a 100 game sample for many, some “best guesses” are probably needed and some mistakes will be made, I am sure. I think the Hawks need some of those “hardened” players in the 24-28 age range. Players who have consistency, not injury prone, etc. This age diversity will make the salary cap management in the future easier.
