The Chicago Blackhawks wrapped up their seven-game homestand against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night. After another loss to the Florida Panthers on Sunday, head coach Jeff Blashill changed his forward lines. It’s hard to argue with mixing things up as his team entered last night’s game 31st in goals scored.
The line changes worked, as the Blackhawks played a complete game to defeat the Kings 2-1. They won in all three phases of the game: on the power play, on the penalty kill, and at 5-on-5. They finished the long home stand 3-4-0, which feels a lot better than 2-5-0.
