After the Chicago Blackhawks‘ 1-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues on September 24, there were a number of follow ups necessary after being shut-out by a division rival.
A few notes from the game and from around the league needed to be touched on in the Blackhawks locker room Friday morning after the teams one-day trip to St. Louis. Here’s what we learned.
Patrick Kane no longer Bauer loyal
Ever since Patrick Kane joined the league in 2007, he’s been loyal to the Bauer Hockey equipment brand. For a very long time, Kane was the frontman for the company showcasing his incredible hands and stick-handling skills in promotional materials for skates, sticks, gloves, etc. Even now for me, anytime I see the old Nike/Bauer logos on equipment from the mid-to-late 2000’s, I connect that to Kane in his early NHL career.
That is no longer the case.
