On Tuesday, I said it’s never too early to start up the rumor mill. Now — at least in Blackhawks world — it’s running full speed.
First came the rumor that the Flyers were searching for help at center and had interest in Blackhawks forwards Frank Nazar and Oliver Moore. Then today’s news: the Blackhawks are actively looking for help.
Before Tuesday night’s 2-1 win over the Kings, NHL insider Frank Seravalli joined CHSN’s pregame show and threw out a couple of very interesting nuggets of information regarding Chicago’s situation. In summary, GM Kyle Davidson is actively looking to shake up the organization in one way or another.
Here are the full comments from Seravalli last night:
If the Blackhawks are looking for “shoot-first, scoring wingers with size,” they’ll have to get in line because every team in the NHL would love to have those types of players and wants to be in the market for those kinds of players. They don’t grow on trees and they usually come with significant price tags.
