The Chicago Blackhawks' three-game point streak ended Friday afternoon with a 3-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild. The visitors built a 2-0 lead in the second period, but a couple of turnovers and bad bounces saw it evaporate quickly. Minnesota is now 13-0-1 in their last 13 games against their Windy City rivals.
The Blackhawks got off to a fast start for the second straight game. After scoring 17 seconds into the game against the Dallas Stars, they needed only 2:23 to open the scoring on Friday. Tyler Bertuzzi won a puck battle with Brock Faber and got it out to Ryan Donato for the 1-0 lead. Donato started a crazy second period by doubling the lead with a power-play goal off Faber’s stick.
