Morning Chirps: Blackhawks scorching-hot penalty kill sparks comeback

Don’t look now, but the Chicago Blackhawks are starting to figure out how to close out games. On Tuesday, they erased a 2-0 deficit in the third period to grab a stirring 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitals, the top team in the Eastern Conference heading into action. They are now 3-3-0 under interim head coach Anders Sorensen and are trending in the right direction.
The Blackhawks gave up the game's first goal for a change of pace. Defenseman Louis Crevier coughed up the puck to Pierre-Luc Dubois, who squeezed the puck through Arvid Soderblom and barely over the goal line to give Washington a 1-0 lead.
