Blackhawks Rebuild Report: Four U.S. Prospects Win World Junior Championships Gold Medal

Wire-to-wire, the United States were the favorites in the 2024 World Junior Championship tournament and they sealed the deal with a Gold Medal win over host-nation Sweden this past week. Led by four Chicago Blackhawks prospects, Gavin Hayes, Frank Nazar, Oliver Moore, and Sam Rinzel, the U.S. put on a display that may be signaling a major shift in the hockey world powers.

Mario Tirabassi is keeping tabs on the amateur ranks in North America. He will make a deep dive into the NCAA ranks and the Canadian junior leagues. Greg Boysen is focused on the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League (AHL) and all the players playing professionally across Europe.
