With a slew of injuries to the Chicago Blackhawks, a number of players had been promoted from the Rockford IceHogs in recent weeks. With some of those injuries happening on the defensive-side of things, there was clamoring for players like Nolan Allan and Ethan Del Mastro to get their first calls to the NHL. But with Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson's plan and patience, those two remain in Rockford and the benefits of that are showing with their continued development and production at the AHL level.
