The Climate Pledge Arena has not been kind to the Chicago Blackhawks since the Seattle Kraken joined the NHL. They suffered their fifth loss in six trips on Thursday with a lackluster 3-1 defeat.
After a scoreless first period, Matty Beniers opened the scoring by ripping the puck past Petr Mrazek’s glove hand. Teuvo Teravainen got his stick on Jared McCann’s cross-ice pass, but he slowed it down and put it right in Beniers’ wheelhouse. Jayden Schwartz doubled the lead with a power-play tally early in the second period for his 200th career goal.
