The Chicago Blackhawks will return home with a point, but Saturday’s matinee was another game in which they held a lead in the third period but came up short. The Philadelphia Flyers scored two third-period goals before winning 3-2 in overtime.
The Blackhawks were under fire for much of the first half of the opening period, and much of it was self-inflicted due to sloppy puck management. However, they were able to take advantage of a turnover for a 3-on-1 rush finished off by Lukas Reichel.
