The Chicago Blackhawks spent their Friday night inside the Canada Life Centre for their only visit of the season. The Winnipeg Jets were coming off a 6-0 beat down of the Edmonton Oilers, while the Blackhawks were looking to carry over their finish from Tuesday’s loss in Utah. The Blackhawks played a sound game, but their lack of offense against one of the best goaltenders in the league cost them in a 2-1 overtime loss.
While Winnipeg has the better team on paper, this was an even contest for the first 58 minutes. Ryan Donato opened the scoring late in the second period, thanks to Pat Maroon’s second great pass of the game.
