LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Everyone wanted to talk to Bears left tackle Ozzy Trapilo.

First came the Chicago Sun-Times.

Then there was a round of one-on-one questions from CHGO. 

And then – after quarterback Case Keenum was done talking down the hallway in the media center at Halas Hall  – came everyone else.

Trapilo wasn’t just back in practice. 

He was practicing in full. 

His comeback remains a big story for the Bears. 

“This has been awesome,” Trapilo told reporters after practice on Wednesday. “There are a million people I could thank.”

It’s still unknown when Trapilo will be back in action on game days. But he remains on the fast track toward seeing the field this season after tearing the patellar tendon in left knee late in the Bears’ playoff win against the Green Bay Packers in January. Trapilo will tell you that an important milestone was hit this week in practice.
