I don’t think I am the only one who wants Aaron Rodgers to play and to beat him this weekend, but it definitely seems as if a lot of the fans don’t want him to play. I get it, he’s hurt us. Bad. But, bring it on.

It should be a big deal. Caleb’s first meeting with Rodgers is absolutely a matchup we could look back on in 8-9 years and be thankful we got to see; especially if Chicago can slay the beast.

First, it will likely only happened once. If Williams turns out to be half as good as many projected, he is our guy for the next 10-12 years or more and is easily the greatest QB in Bears history. A win over Rodgers is a nice feather in the cap for him.

Second, it’s another step towards reversing the last 15 years of suffering we have endured. This has been a season of that. Finishing and winning games the Bears would have lost in the immediate past, culture, etc. I’m excited for the game whether Rodgers plays or doesn’t and hope to be in attendance for it from Iowa.
