Great write up, Adam. I am getting sort of blown away by the amount of hits Caleb has endured in 1.5 seasons and not missed a play much less a game. He’s much more durable than I realized when he came out of USC. Really was a great game by him to pull that win out of his ass. 5-4 facing the next two games would’ve been daunting.

I was looking forward to seeing the winning because of. Looking forward to see what player tier he is at the end of the year.

Also, it feels weird to have a quarterback that causes fans of other teams to have a sense of impending doom.

When Caleb Williams scrambles and does his 360 degree pirouettes, I am reminded of one of the best scramblers ever to play the game – Fran Tarkenton. Caleb has actually lead more than five 4th quarter comebacks in his short career but does not get the credit because the Bears blew their leads in those games, for example – the “Fail Mary” in 2024.

Does this mean he will move up in Hoge’s “Levels” Rankings? Last year I was in disbelief every game on how this team would find ways to lose. This year, I am stunned on how they get it done and have been winning. 2025-Way more fun!
