Really like Dalman a lot and it’s funny now to think of a lot of people thinking it was not a great signing when it happened.

I also noticed that Coleman Shelton is the starting Center for the Rams which makes me wonder why it didn’t work out with the Bears last year. I though he played “okay” but the rest of the line was not very good which speaks to how continuity and chemistry on an O-line really make a difference.

I’m going to go out on a limb here, but maybe the reason Shelton didn’t excel here last year was because of poor coaching. Continuity and chemistry are great, but I think we’re getting a tremendous demonstration of the value of a good/great Head Coach and staff for the first time, maybe ever, as Bears fans.

I agree that coaching is a huge factor. Players have physical skills and intelligence just waiting for someone to psh the right buttons. The previous coaching staff was nept n also many ways. What we are seeing is players growing because their coaches are putting them in the right positions with the right techniques and that combination is really outstanding as demonstrated by Drew even compared to his previous work in Atlanta. Ben Johnson and Dan Roushar are really a God send for this team.
