GREEN BAY, Wis. — That was about as ugly as it gets.
The Bears simply did not show up in Green Bay in any way, shape or form. There is no way to sugarcoat how bad the offense, defense, special teams and even coaching were. On the one hand, it is hard to understand, considering the Bears were playing the Packers on a week when they should have been honoring Mike Ditka.
But…the Bears came out of last week vs. the Jets banged up. Running back Kyle Monangai was missed. D’Andre Swift was half of himself. Tight end Colston Loveland is missing. And the best quarterback room in the NFL fell apart.
On to the grades.
Quarterback: F
Tyson Bagent got benched. Hopefully it turns out to be the disastrous performance that he will learn from whenever he gets his next chance to play in Chicago or elsewhere. That is obviously my hope as someone who believes in Bagent. I did not see today coming in any way. But it happened.
