Poles first draft should have been a huge red flag. Had a chance to build the Bears from the lines out. There were two offensive linemen taken in the 2nd round of Poles first draft – Cam Jurgen and Luke Goedeke. Two great players. Both were taken after Poles had already drafted two secondary players. (also Nick Bonitto went after them as well)
I love Gordon, and Brisker is a solid player too. But Poles first two picks ever were a nickel corner and in the box safety. Just all you needed to know about his ability to build a roster.

I thought it was interesting how Ben talked so much about EPA being more important than turnovers but the first thing out of his mouth was how much their turnovers hurt them.
It seems like things always come back to what we’ve known for years in football no matter what all the new “geniuses” and analytics people say. This game is won in the trenches, having a good running game, a strong defense, and getting turnovers while not turning the ball over yourself. That’s it! Pretty simple.

I am a Die hard and signed up for emails from Pat Norton but see no way to sign up for emails from Adam Jahns (or Hoge or anyone else). Why do I have to check the website to find new content? I would engage more if you made it easier and you would get more clicks and develop greater loyalty.

Agree completely. I signed up when Jahns moved over to take advantage of the discounted price. I find this site extremely cumbersome.

AuthorThanks for your feedback Bob and Aaron. I appreciate you reading (and commenting). Stay tuned.

Good stuff. I’d forgotten about the EPA comment. Looks like Maye so far has the highest rating from that draft class.
