Absolutely spot-on column, Patrick. Thank you. I was a kicker as well as a punter back in the Eocene Period: Lou Groza style, pre-Yepremian, pre-soccer-style, and so that this little tweak would be “difficult” for kickers is crazy to me. Put in a thousand hours intelligent practice in the off-season, guys. Goodness! I learned how to dropkick in case I ever needed to. I did only once when our holder was hurt. Through the uprights. I was stopped on the street by lots of people who said they hadn’t seen that kick for forty years. Put in the time! Skills pay dividends.
