So my concerns are:
-Trapilo: it’s not often that a player 6’7 or taller succeeds in the NFL, because it is so difficult for them to get their pad level low enough to get leverage on shorter players whoare already working to get underneath you. I have a ghard time seeing someone that tall with under 34″ arms (making it even more disproportionate) being a stalwart in the lineup. The kid’s makeup is the offset, as he appears ready to put in the work to give it a go.
-Stewart: Stress fractures on DL really concern me. Remember David Terrell? Stress fracture in his foot, and he was never right after playing on it for his senior season prio to the Bears drafting him as a WR. I would argue the strain on the lower body of a DL is orders of magnitude greater than on a WR. I would feel better if he dropped 15-20 lbs, and shifted to DE to back up Dayo, a role he had at A&M before Nic Scourton transferred in.
-I feel like Frazier and Burden were tremendous value selections for where we got them, and I am hearing more and more about Newman as a potential find.
