I’ve been surprised by the off-season skepticism about Rome among the fans and media. Agree it is a big year for Rome, but I’m expecting him to meet and exceed that. I thought he looked great early in the year, and that was in a new system with a lot of other mouths being fed, before dropping off once he broke his foot. He does need to clean up the drops, and I expect him to do that, but the injury may have contributed to that in 2025 – seems like worrying about how much it is going to hurt when you push off may distract you from tracking the ball. Hopefully Poles will have a problem next spring because Rome will play like a top receiver and need to get paid.
