First, my hat is off to Braxton for getting himself to the point where he could even get in camp. A lot of people assumed this but I don’t think it was ever a forgone conclusion he was going to be ready to go. That said, he has some more building to do.

Braxton was susceptible to the bull rush and betting pushed back BEFORE the injury, so, while I’d love to be proven wrong, I don’t think he’s the answer at LT going into the last year of his rookie deal.

So, is he a cap casualty in the making? Is he going to be good enough for you to keep and PAY him over Trapilo and Amegadjie on rookie deals? Do you want to be taking snaps away from those rookies and lose out on some potential development? To me, those all work against Jones being the direction you go at LT. Unless you’re somehow putting Caleb in danger (not sure how you could possibly outdo last year) one of the rookies should be getting the nod at LT until you see he can’t do it.

Isn’t Braxton still on his rookie deal? Last year of it?
