I’ve been one of Caleb’s harshest critics but I think I saw more progress toward what Ben Johnson wants out of him yesterday than any other game. While he made about 3 or 4 bad decisions from a situational awareness perspective, this was the first game, in my opinion, where he actually attempted to make throws like a real NFL QB to march down the field. It was the most times he made his 3 or 5 step drop, and the ball was out as soon as he hit that back foot. Granted, his accuracy and ball placement on some throws needs to improve but on those plays where he was on time, his accuracy was much better. It definitely was not perfect but it was the most encouraging performance he’s had as far as I’m concerned.
