CHICAGO, Ill. — It's not how anybody envisioned getting a win. It's probably not how anybody was hoping to get a win. But a win is a win. That could describe just about any Bears win from the 2006 season, or it could describe Caleb Williams' debut on Sunday.
Luckily, Caleb Williams isn't Rex Grossman — one actually won a Heisman. Sunday's season opener leaves plenty to be desired from the Bears' offense, but if the start of year three is any indication, Matt Eberflus' defense could join the ranks as one of the league's premiere units in 2024.
