Good morning.
I regret to inform you that the Bears play the Packers on Sunday.
We know how this goes.
But it’s also OK to dream. And the Bears have no choice but to believe they can beat Green Bay for the first time since 2018. Because they MUST — ahem, Matt Eberflus MUST — beat the Packers.
Yes, we’ve been here before. I wrote that in 2012 about Lovie Smith. He lost and got fired. I wrote that about Marc Trestman in 2014. He lost by approximately 197 points and got fired. I wrote that about John Fox in 2017. He lost and got fired. I wrote that about Matt Nagy in 2021. He lost and got fired.
So we’re here again. And Eberflus — who is 0-4 against the Packers — must beat Green Bay.
