Bears Things: Things are getting interesting with Thomas Brown

Good morning.
I’ve sat in enough press conferences at Halas Hall to know when a coach is capable of commanding a room.
Sometimes it’s obvious in the first press conference — good or bad, but mostly bad. Most times, it’s not obvious right away, and it takes time to learn if a coach has what it takes or if they’re bound to get tuned out.
But here’s the thing. Don’t you want to know right away that a coach has it?
In 14 years of covering the Chicago Bears, I can’t remember a coach — head coach or assistant — that has given off a more confident “leader of men” vibe as quickly as new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown.
